We provide tailor-made courses for groups or individual charity staff. We have up to 10 equines at various stages of behavioural rehab so can work on most issues as required.
We are world leading experts in positive reinforcement training for equines. We have many years experience of training traumatised horses and in teaching people the skills they need to become experts themselves.
Contact Claire to start the discussion on how we can help you. We will charge as little as we can and hope to raise sponsorship money to support training for Registered Charity staff.
COVID-19 UPDATE: SPAIN IS IN LOCK-DOWN UNTIL APRIL 30TH 2020. WE HAVE CANCELLED OUR APRIL AND MAY COURSES. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME AS AN INDIVIDUAL WHEN WE CAN OPEN AGAIN. COURSES WILL RESUME IN OCTOBER.
These training opportunities are on a workshop basis. These topics are what we are working on with our horses during 2020, therefore you can pick and choose what you would like to work on. We help you to develop the skills you most need.
The thing that our students tell us they love the most is that they feel completely at home. They say that they felt supported to always feel comfortable and relaxed. We are just as kind to you as we are to our horses.
"It was fun, heart warming, incredible, interesting and I can't wait to come back xxx" - Laura Knoops, Netherlands
We design the course together, depending on what the individual needs for their charity. We usually spend about 5 hours per day with the horses. Students get lots of hands on experience as well as the chance to observe us working with the horses. We then offer up to 2 hours more theory sessions in the early evening. However, we can do more theory and less practice if needed. It's all up to you!
Courses are on a supported self-catering basis. We meet guests in Granada and take them shopping on their way to La Casa, where they stay. If you have booked a private Course for your charity we can discuss variations on self-catering as you require.
Explore our La Casa page to see the lovely villa you will stay in during your visit.
We usually have lunch and siesta between 2 and 5pm. People can sleep, swim, read or go for walks in this time. For Group sessions, we have a large lounge space with audio-visual facilities for teaching. Group areas are also great for informal discussions and chats around the table. The environment itself encourages relaxed learning.
